The interactive grade book now on line requires a password for authorized entry. Once in, a parent or student, may go to their child's grade book and parents may enter grades, or student may see how they are progressing. Teachers can access this grade book to enter grades, check on student progress, and administrators use this book to add new students, update the quarter or new course a student is enrolled in. It is a great way to obtain up-to-date, accurate, information 24/7.

IHS was founded to offer regular, gifted, and special students creative new ways to use technology for learning in a home-based environment. Interested students are able to enroll at any time. Each new student is administered an online assessment that, after a comparison to the students academic transcripts, is used to prescribe courses. After completing an online orientation with his/her parents, the enrolled student can access the course syllabus. The syllabus outlines weekly assignments that each student must do in order to successfully complete the course. Interested students may participate in online discussions via chat rooms, net meetings, or instant messages, and communicate with teachers and other students. Upon completion of the course, students receive numerical grades (based on a scale of 100) that are converted to letter grades. Student report cards reflect the numerical grade. IHS also provides an online, interactive grade book that is accessible to parents, students and administrators at any time. Students who successfully complete the IHS program earn a high school diploma. IHS students must have regular access to a computer with the following minimum system requirements: A 300 MHz processor, 500 MB of hard drive space, 64 MB of RAM, a 56K modem, a full-duplex soundcard, a microphone and speakers, Windows 98, and Internet Explorer 5.01.
